Drawing-- I thought this drawing workshop is fundamental course in communication. That is why I choose this for first workshop. One remarkable thing of this course, there were many in-class works. All of them were so useful and interesting to us. In addition, two tutors’ curriculum (schedule) was well organised, so we could learn slowly and detailed.
Especially, I had many opportunities to draw plan, section, elevation drawing and perspective drawing. This exercise has helped me improved my, obviously, perspective drawing skills and rendering skills. As I said on last post, I had no confidence about drawing, but this course has made me more confident. I am happy to feel that.

Atlas of colour--My second workshop was "Atlas of Colour". This workshop started as lecturing about colour theory. From first week to third week, it was lectured slowly and carefully by using media system to be understood us easily.
To be honest, I have never thought that we need to know about colour theory for further study in architecture. Although the theory is so hard to understand, that is quiet interesting. The interesting part for that workshop was especially that we visited the synagogue in Bondi. The making of the book was a challenge but it was all good and very fun to make is it showed what we had learnt and they we presented our theme. (Despite of some experience that used colour material in this workshop, I still have no confidence in painting. Because I have realised that colouring is so important skill in architectural society, I would try to use colour material continuously.)
Finally, the most valuable work I think is making book (Atlas of Colour).
Through words, image and colour I could be taken on a journey. While using a 2D format, I was asked to create a 3D experience. On my folio (Atlas of Colour), there were the result of collecting, mapping and analysing the thoughts, processes and information gathered, both written and drawn. It was filled with notes, sketches, exercises and research activities that reveal the core principles of Colour Theory and Visual Language.

Architecture in motion--This workshop was my final one I attended for communication and that was quite interesting and fun. Although I took a lot of time and strength, I think it was worth. Through this workshop I had to draw more than 25 sequent images and then view 3-4 images on the screen that were repeated over and over again. The aim was to make a video from still images in relation to the images shown to us in class.
After making the film, I realized that it was hard to visualize the imagination to a film. Simple painting, sketching, and crafting could directly transcribe a person’s think, but for this, the film had to be concerned like a sequence and creating techniques. For the motion, what I learnt was that how to use unsual program 'window movie maker' that has been since I used PCI had a lot of fun with playing around a lot of stuff on the pictures such as overlapping original pictures with different materials or drawing onto the pages.
